Our Productions

LamatDance Company is the professional company associated with Cía. Danza Vinculados. It was founded in 2001 in London and since then, it has been headed by the choreographer Carmen Vilches who lived in that city until 2011. Since its outset, the company has been dedicated to create contemporary and flamenco dance productions, exploring new ways of merging both styles at a choreographic, conceptual and musical level.

LamatDance has presented its work in several theatres in the United Kingdom including The Place Theatre, Boni Bird Laban Theatre and the Royal Opera House. In addition to that, it has repeatedly participated in the Edinburgh Festival. Between 2010 and 2013, LamatDance led the European project Interwoven, funded by the European Commission. The project involved traveling to Bulgaria, England and Spain to create pieces with dancers, visual artists and musicians from these three countries. The result of this project is the Interwoven production that was performed at the Caja Granada Theatre, and Guadix theatre, The Place Theatre in London and Sfumato Theatre in Sofia as well as other theaters in the United Kingdom, Spain and Bulgaria.

Produced by Cía. Danza Vinculados and its associated professional company LamatDance in collaboration with Útopi Social Films and Bum Creaciones.

This work is the result of several years of exploration, creation and experimentation through contemporary dance and music, Bulgarian music and flamenco.
